Stressed? Who me?

Well when I woke up this morning and saw the snow drifting off the roof, the car covered in a layer of snow and the sun hiding behind the cloudy grey sky, I was so thankful to be a stay at home mom, and was looking forward to taking a “stay at home mom” day. Especially as I was truly struggling to get myself going after an enjoyable but crazy weekend celebrating my sisters wedding and skipping a whole nights sleep, to which I was reminded that I was 35, not 25 anymore!

But looking forward to taking a “stay at home mom” day quickly turned into another reminder...that I was indeed a stay at home mom...

I still have to make 3 square meals, put the house back together from the events of the weekend, pay the month end bills, finish the RSP contributions, have a webinar at 2pm and team training meeting tonight at 6:30, which means getting a meal ready for the kids before I leave at 6:00, My husbands on his way home for lunch and nana’s popping by after lunch and just finished combing hair gunk out of my daughters hair who got into mommy’s hair products.... “Mommy HAIR PRETTY?” That’s taking a day “OFF”! Dangit, I was really looking forward to all those OPRAHs on PVR that have gone unwatched. I guess that’s why they are still unwatched!

I really got thinking about STRESS. Most times I don’t feel like I have that much stress, but I think I’m in denial! It’s just that stress has become such a daily routine, that we don’t even realize it. I don’t know what’s worse, admitting you are stressed, or thinking you aren’t stressed and then having it derail you when you come to grips that just maybe you are a little more stressed than you thought.

So I wanted to share a link today that I came across. www.helpguide.org/mental/stress_signs.htm
