Ok, so you get what I do and what my business name is...
But WHAT I do... is second to WHY I do it.
After my second child, the reality hit that I really didn’t want to go back to work. But what was I missing by going back to work besides the money? Who was I now if I no longer had a career title to follow my name? What would I do now? Something was missing, something for myself...
It was at the same time, I came across a “WRAP” that promised to take off inches. It seemed too good to be true and it was distributed through a home-based business plan...yikes...sounded like a scam to me. So I was curious but cautionary.
I had never even hosted a party, nor ever supported other at-home businesses, I quickly turned away anyone doing so! Now I was about to jump into one?? Was I crazy?
When the product turned out to amaze me, I felt a rush of excitement, a fear of failure and a fear of success all at once.
Sure, I had always been blessed with an entrepreneurial desire, but I had yet to learn the self-discipline it took.
Yes, the product helped me regain my body-image after having children, but more importantly, taught me that running a home-based business takes desire, self motivation and discipline. But that it pays off with the invaluable gift of self-confidence, pride and satisfaction. It has encouraged me to take the reins on my life, and my dreams and open my life to a new community of others like me.
I now look at home-based business and those who’ve worked to build something of their own with a new found respect. I know just what courage and self-motivation really mean, and have the deepest respect for others who balance life and still find it within them to run a business from home.
Here's to you! My friends with courage, discipline and self-motivation all balancing in just one hand while the rest balances in the other. Love you!
